Question: What are some improvements you can make and how do you plan to do it? Lynn: We just need to communicate better, we need to keep our momentum going. You know, as a team we need to stay up, when we're playing we need to stay ahead by points, by rallies. We can't stoop down and we need to keep the momentum going, keep the motivation going. That's what we need to work on as a team is communication and, as well as moving our feet. I think sometimes we get stuck standing, and so that's what we need to work on is them moving their feet, letting them get to where the ball is at rather than just standing. Question: Who do you feel stood out the most in tonight's game? Why? Lynn: I would say Kendall Toadlena, like I said we've been practicing a lot during the summer and in the first two weeks of school and everything we've been working on she displayed on the court with her serving, passing, blocking, and hitting. So, she was on fire tonight! I’m really proud of her, because what she works on during practice she actually put on the court tonight, so she did very well. Question: Is there an important match coming up that you're looking forward to? Lynn: We're always looking for district; right now we want to make sure that we’re practicing enough, that's our number one goal is to go into district and make sure that we beat every team that we go into district against. We’re practicing right now. You know, we have a couple of more teams coming up, we have Crownpoint, we have Grants, we have Shiprock, we have Navajo Prep. We can use those as practice games for our actual game when we go into district! We want to have a winning record this year. Question: What are your thoughts about this season? Lynn: I’m really excited, we have three returning seniors, we have a couple of eighth graders stepping up and moving up to play varsity. The girls are actually doing a lot of team bonding, like get-togethers. They're really playing well together, they’re talking and communicating off the court which, you know, is gonna help us when they play on the court. We'll do pretty well, I’m pretty excited about it. The Dodger's Quest to Make Historyby Zach Wargo '20
Only two teams in the majors have reached the 116 win mark, as it is rare for a team to be this dominant in a 162 game season. The two teams that hold the record are the 1906 Cubs with a record of 116-36, and the 2001 Seattle Mariners with a record of 116-46, but neither team did not win the World Series. The Dodgers have been outscoring teams by an astonishing 218 runs this season, the most by any team in the majors. They have had a very abnormal record of 41-9 in their last 50 games Throughout the season it seems like the Dodgers have gotten better and stronger. Which will be very important for them to make a playoff run to win the World Series. Reaching 117 wins would be a huge milestone for the Dodgers this season, as they would be considered as one of the best teams of all time, but their main focus is being world champions in October and proving that they are the best team. Only time will tell if the Dodgers can keep winning and, if they can, they may be the greatest team to ever play the game of baseball. WEEKLY POLLS
