Ambush! News looking for new talentDid you know that a group of sheep is called a Herd? How about a group of lions? They are called a Pride of Lions. A bunch of crows is called a Murder of Crows. Fish swimming together are called a School of Fish. Bears are called a Sloth of Bears. There's also a Congress of Apes (makes sense if you've been following the news, right)? A bunch of tigers is called an Ambush of Tigers. And that's why we've decided to call this newspaper GHS Ambush! This is a newspaper for the students and by the students. Students are the writers, editors, photographers and brainstormers of this newspaper. If you'd like to join the Ambush! team, please come to one of our meetings on Thursdays, after school in Room A202. We need reporters, artists, cartoonists, and film-makers. -Masika Sweetwyne Newspaper Sponsor Homecoming Hair Hijinxby Sage Addington '18 On Wednesday, September 21st Gallup High students gathered at the public school for the Class Games event. One of the various competitions at the Class Games included crazy hair. First place winner was Prina Patel, in second place was Sydney Terran, and in third place was Dianna Warren. Patel was able to "go for the gold" with a cute leaf wreath with apples hanging off the sides. Terran and Warren shared the same hair style, crafting rainbows on their heads with pipe cleaners and cotton balls. I was able to speak with two of the three finalists.
